I was planning to post something to do with Fall but missed the peak of the turned leaves by about a week. Instead, I did my best to take advantage of this bridge over the river. I’m not as brave as all of you scavenger hunt folks, so this was a quick snap with my jacket off but my shirt on. Maybe someday I’ll get the courage for more naked self portraits in public.
I do like how the light shines through the boards.

Courage has to be built in stages I find, and this is a great way to start. I keep meaning to start doing Scavenger Hunt too, but chicken out each and every time, so you’re way ahead of me already

It is a lovely photo and makes me want to see into the photo, to see some more of you 🙂

There is something very suggestive about your bare arm that has my imagination putting in rope… to hold you in place
oh and I don’t know where you live but if it is in the UK, especially in the South East and fancy coming out for a ‘walk’ with me I would be excited to take your picture…. you know my email.

Having now looked at your Twitter profile I think you are in the USA…. Haha… maybe a bit of an ocean in the way… Damn it!

Thanks for the offer Molly! I would love taking a nature walk with you someday!

Love the light and the ripples on the water. And that lovely bare arm, leaving us to wondr just how far the bareness extends…

Scavenger Hunt or not.. Having just your arm there makes me wonder what has the rest of you.

This is a wonderful photograph. It took me a long time before I was brave enough to post a scavenger hunt, one day you’ll be able to do it too 🙂

I love the hazy light and the suggestiveness of this. Scavenger Hunts are fun, but so is a tease with no flash! 🙂
MariaSibylla
Thanks all! I was definitely going for the suggestion of nakedness. The suggestion that someone was there, making me need to cling to bridge rails for support. It would be a lovely spot for that kind of thing.

i love the fall light.
this photo suggests so much. very cool 🙂

This is so very beautiful – effulgent, even!

The light in this is lovely. I must confess, I was nervous about snapping myself outdoors to start with, but it does become strangely addictive … Jane xxx

Lovely capture… and it does take a good bit to pluck the courage up, but once you do you’ll find the thrill addicting 😉

Such a beautifully-lit and framed shot! And I find the teasing glimpse of your arm quite sensual. You mention being brave, but it took us quite a long time before we’d even post a chaste, PG-rated image of ourselves on our blog. Every journey begins with a first step.

I agree with Flip, courage comes little by little and this is a beautiful image in its own right.
