This weekend marks World Naked Gardening Day (first Saturday in May). World Naked Gardening Day last year marked my first blog post and my first Sinful Sunday contribution.
In keeping with that theme, and to fulfill this month’s prompt of “no humans,” I’ve coordinated a sexy photo shoot with the giant Red Maple in the park near my house. I did not really have any more than the basic study of botany in school so I’m not 100% sure this is actually a Red Maple (though it *is* a maple of some kind) but I am 100% sure that the seeds featured came about through a hot bout of tree sex. (And yes, I’m aware I might be carrying the theme a bit far).

After I got done thinking “Penis seeds!” I realized the tree in the neighbor’s yard is the same kind of tree. I grew up calling it the helicopter tree, because the seeds flutter like whirlygigs when they fall.
Yes! Helicopters!
I remember those seeds spinning through the air during many a spring in my hometown. Who knew the trees were getting it on?
