I like that word, phantasmagorical. I looked up surreal because this image reminded me a bit of Dali’s melting clocks, and there it was: Phantasmagorical. It fits, I think.
It wasn’t just the melting clocks though. I was thinking surreal, because if you’d have told me two years ago that I’d someday be posting nude photos of my least favorite parts of myself on the internet for all the world to see, and not only posting them, but finding them interesting, I wouldn’t have believed you.
That I am able to do this is surreal. Beautifully and wonderfully so.

Oh, Maria. You are wonderful. I love this image. I never know what to expect from your pictures and every time, you produce thought provoking, intriguing beauty. I wish I had your eye and your bravery. Thank you. I needed to see something just like this today.

Thank you Honey! Your comment made my day! I’ll be honest, every time I see the thumbnail of this pic on Twitter, I cringe a little, much like I often do when I catch a wayward glimpse of myself in a mirror. But each time I cringe at the photo, I stop and deliberately think about it and why I posted it. All toward someday being so comfortable with myself that I don’t cringe. I wish that for all of us.
an ode to surrealism, i love it and the tint to the picture!
This…
All of it – your surrealistic perspective, so beautifully captured in words and on film…
