    • Thanks! I like the low light too, but whenever I shoot in it the image ends up full of fuzz, which usually works of for the theme, but am thinking something other than my cell phone camera might give me more flexibility.

As for relaxed/exhausted, a bit of both 🙂 I have family visiting this weekend 🙂

  1. Even though I knew this was a photograph, it took me a moment to process that it wasn’t a painting. The lighting and composition are really stunning. I agree with F. Leonora – it is very reminiscent of Wyeth. And I love that you used this carol as a prompt! I’m percolating on it right now 🙂

  2. Yes indeed a better camera will help with low lighting as you can alter the ISO setting to let in more light which will reduce the amount of noise in the image. I am a Canon girl myself, not the cheapest for sure but worth every damn penny in my opinion.

Love your composition, the use of negative space somehow makes you seem so very vulnerable and sounds like you have having very British weather at the moment!

    • Yes, it’s the noise that bothers me sometimes. It doesn’t allow for sharp focus. My friend has a Nikon D50 that I can use but it needs some repair, I am going to try that first before getting a whole new camera.

And yes, our current weather is very British. Too bad having your weather doesn’t bring me physically closer to you all. 🙂
